Website redesign

A redesign that starts with the visuals is backwards.

Most redesigns are bought out of embarrassment and sold as a fresh coat of paint. The result is a prettier site that converts the same or worse, and sometimes a rankings collapse because nobody mapped what the old site was quietly earning. Our redesigns start with evidence: what your current site already does well, what it is costing you, and only then what it should become.

Start with the audit

The evidence audit comes first

Before we design anything we audit what exists: which pages earn search traffic and for what, which pages produce inquiries, where visitors leave, and what the current architecture gets right. Redesigns kill rankings when they discard URLs and content that were doing invisible work. Ours begin with a keep list, a fix list, and a kill list, so nothing valuable is lost by accident.

This is also where about a fifth of our redesign conversations end honestly: the audit sometimes shows the site is structurally fine and the real problem is the message or the content map. When that is the case we say so and quote the smaller job.

What changes in a ClientAnchor redesign

  1. 01

    Message before layout

We rebuild the argument the site makes: who it is for, what the proof is, and what the visitor should do. Then the design gives that argument a stage.

  2. 02

    Migration without rankings loss

Every existing URL is mapped: kept, improved, or redirected deliberately. Search equity is an asset on the balance sheet of the project, treated with the same care as the brand.

  3. 03

Speed and structure debt paid down

Redesigns are the cheapest moment to fix performance and structured data, because everything is open on the table anyway. We ship the new site faster than the old one, measurably.

  4. 04

    A measurement baseline

We snapshot rankings, traffic, and conversion before launch so the redesign's effect is a fact, not a feeling.

Scope and price

Redesigns are scoped like new builds because that is what they are: Launch from $4,500, Authority from $9,500, Flagship from $18,000, fixed quote after the audit. Timelines run three to twelve weeks depending on tier. The audit itself is where every redesign engagement starts, and you keep its findings regardless of whether you build with us.

Questions

Before you reach out.

Will a redesign hurt my current Google rankings?

A careless one can. Rankings loss usually comes from discarded URLs, thinned content, or slower pages, all preventable. Our process maps every existing URL and its search role before anything is rebuilt, and redirects deliberately where structure changes.

Can you redesign a site without changing platforms?

Often, yes. If the platform is not the problem we do not make replatforming part of the job. The audit tells us whether the constraint is the platform, the architecture, or the message.

How do I know if I need a redesign or smaller fixes?

That is precisely what the audit answers. If the evidence says targeted fixes will do, we quote the smaller job. A redesign is the right call when the architecture, message, and design are all working against the sale at once.
